I can't stand the error that shows when you press <= on a 28/48/49/50 with an empty stack, for example

Religious wars are 'round the corner, you are warned...
I can't stand neither that stupid error !

Thats why I bought a 42s after having a 28s.

Hello,
...
I was advised by Michael to heat the keyboard with a hair dryer then somewhat compress the device for a while, but I didn't dare to do so and fry the PCB, CPU and LCD...
My advice of the day would be : if you are bald, this device is not for you :D

Re: HP-41CX (more) manuals

Hi there, I've found out that more HP-41CX manuals than those listed on Swissmicros main web site, can be downloaded from : https://sourceforge.net/projects/x-41/files/HP-41CX%20Manuals/41CX%20Manuals%20release%201/ This includes : - HP 41-CX Owner's manual volumes 1 & 2 - HP 41-CX Quick reference ...

EDIT...

Eveyrhing is ok, I just missed the « Print to file » configuration, nothing else. Restarting from an empty state after last update might be the origin.

Thanks Geoff
@rprosperi

I did the last update as soon as issued...

The problem was the one above, in my edit.

Thanks anyway

Re: Printing issue

Good! If you end up needing the latest firmware: https://www.swissmicros.com/dm42/firmware/ Cheers Geoff, This is the firmware update that went well from the first release day. It cannot help in anything else than update the firmware. It will not erase nor create the original directory structure no...

Re: Printing issue

The only thing I can think of is to save programs and reload the latest full update via usb. Geoff Geoff, Thanks for your answer... I can't find on SwissMIicros site a "full update" to load. Patrick EDIT... Eveyrhing is ok, I just missed the « Print to file » configuration, nothing else. Restarting...

Printing issue

Hi to all, I have deleted the print directory on my DM42. No problem, I thought, just re-create a 'PRINTS' new one at the root and it should be ok. But no, nothing prints out : PRSTK, PRP and so on... yes, PON is activated and the printer icon activates when I print. Any help or suggestions apprecia...

Re: Help with off images

Walter,

If you use Windows pain, sorry Paint, you maybe right and save the file as you explain.

But, GIMP/Linux needs ‘export as bmp’ to save correctly the file.

Re: How did you discover SwissMicros?

Nostalgia of my HP42s and web searching brought me to HP museum and SwissMicros links I guess, then some videos on Youtube, comments everywhere I could find them, good and bad though.

I made my opinion and after quite a month evaluating pros and cons, I jumped for a DM42.
