Re: 43S Alternative key layout --> WP43C

Has anyone mentioned pressing and holding a key for its second function? I use this ask the time on RealCalc (RPN mode, naturally) and I find it a real time saver. It'd love a hardware RPN calculator that does the same thing. Hi, Yes, that is the so called H2X solution, i.e. holding in, until it ch...

Re: 43S News >> Call to the Community <<

So I think it's about time we invite you: please take our offer, use the simulator and/or WP43S.pgm The Windows simulator on the gitlab master is 5 months old it seems. Where do I get a new simulator to play with. Is there another download location for that? Please read App. E of the ReM (unless yo...

There's a very recent one (191123) here:
https://gitlab.com/Over_score/wp43s/tre ... 2%20binary
Thank you, but this points to a DM42 image, not to a Windows simulator.

Re: 43S Alternative key layout --> WP43C

... If I understand it correctly, the last option of pressing the function key [FN] twice can be done from a clean start, right? That is how I understand it, i.e. that all items listed start from scratch. That sounds to me like a double press, where there is some maximum key up time between the two...

Re: 43S News >> Call to the Community <<

Hi Guenter, The graphic (updated as per your last mail) strangely reflects the incorrect model, unless Google is caching an old or other version to me. I hope not. Please just check, the file that I can download via the link above does not reflect a WP43S but a WP43C (Layout 2) as per https://forum...

Re: 43S News >> Call to the Community <<

Thanks for the good will. The link works in principle BUT it's not a WP43 S layout linked. :? (Er hat sich stets bemüht ... aber ...) Corrected, hope it works now ;) Günter Hi Guenter, The graphic (updated as per your last mail) strangely reflects the incorrect model, unless Google is caching an ol...

Re: 43S Alternative key layout --> WP43C

Thank you for the think tank. I like the good discussion on this topic. You're welcome, and thanks back to you for hosting it! I'm having fun! :-) 5. I also like Dani's new proposal though. The similarity to the double shift to get g is appealing. Pressing the function key [FN] once, normally or br...

Re: 43S Alternative key layout --> WP43C

Thank you for the think tank. I like the good discussion on this topic. My opinion is as follows: 1. I do not want the confirmation short presses as per my previous sketch anymore. I think that rprosperi is right that too many clicks is looking for trouble. 2. I also want to say, that this is an exp...

Re: 43S Alternative key layout --> WP43C

Anyway, if long pressing does cause the execution of f(FN) or g(FN), wouldn't just holding long enough (i.e. crossing the threshold once more) be that way out? Yes it will work. What kind of visual feedback are we thinking of, in either case? My intention is for visual feedback to use the top left ...
