Re: Post a high resoluition photo of a DM42?

Can someone post a nice high resolution photo of a Production DM42?...Need a nice wallpaper of it ;) Wouldn't you want a pic of one of the landscape calculators? They'd fit modern screens much better! Tom L Ducator meus nihil agit sine lagunculae leynidae accedunt Ubi maior minor cessat.

I understand the next DM42 update is soon to be announced, so I should think it will incorporate a more recent release of Free42.

Re: Power OFF mode

... hwid=0 : Mode 1 hwid=1 : Mode 3 ... Unfortunately, neither in the manual, nor (according to google) anywhere else is explained what hwid=[0|1] means. :( Educated guess: hwid = Hardware ID. But how to detect, which hwid has a DM42, and what's the difference between 0 and 1? Mine, being a beta un...

Still hoping for a DM42L, still dreaming.
As much as I dream of a DM41P...
Who will need a 42L or 41P whe he can get a 43S?
Talking about dreams...
I'll get one, for sure. But I think I won't use it as much as my beloved 41, just like it went for the WP34S.

Re: Improved Keyboard????

The problem has been identified. It seems the metal sheets from which the metal domes were stamped weren't cleaned properly. An oil film prevents reliable contact. The domes and the contact area on the PCB can be cleaned, which significantly improves the reliability. We encourage anybody having suc...

Re: Looking forward to the DM42 update utilizing the Free42 2.023 update...

Zeno, The point being discussed here is not IF the 2.023 changes should be included in the DM42, of course they should! The point being discussed is WHEN to include the changes and make a new release. Each new version of DM42 takes a lot of effort: make the code changes, testing the new changes, re...

Re: Looking forward to the DM42 update utilizing the Free42 2.023 update...

An up to dat DM42 is a better DM42 :) I disagree. The changes in 2.023 are small, highly specialized and very unlikely to matter to almost anyone, and simply do not warrant a new release of DM42 on their own. It makes more sense to spend the limited time David has to continue work on other forthcom...

The usual reason folks pursue this is if they learned RPL before RPN, where all terminated entries always enable stack lift. These tricks better simulate the behavior of RPL.
Correct, and that's the main reason why we should avoid this and show them the light.

Bob, should I sue you for (C)opyright infringment?
Instead, you should be happy about a significant increase of the amount of supporters. :D
I am, but support could be phrased differently. :D
