Firmware Update (v29) on DM 15L using a MacBook Pro

Hello All, I just received my DM15L. I am very pleased with this calculator. I am seeking advice from other DM15L owners who also use a Mac computer. I am trying to update the firmware for the first time. I have closely followed the instructions on the SwissMicros website to update this. Please note...

Re: Another 43S poll

I voted for (b) for the following reasons (all are only my opinion): 1.) the information is much more clearly and cleanly displayed to the user; and 2.) most users will easily recognize the abbreviations in (b) but may not easily recognize the symbolic notation in (a). Thanks for asking, Walter!

Re: Benchmark Speed?

Thanks, grsbanks. I was not fully aware of this. I have seen a few other posts (not directed to me) where a recommendation was made to apply external power to the DM42, but the reason for doing this was not given. Now I understand the reason.

This is a really cool feature of the DM42!

Re: Benchmark Speed?

Thanks for sharing these programs and this info. Here are the results that I get. Note that comparing the iPhone results with the other results is not really a fair comparison since the iPhone itself is a small computer. For MATH: iPhone XS Max 512 GB, using the Free42 app – 4,176,199 DM42 – 21,339 ...

Re: How did you discover SwissMicros?

My experience in discovering SwissMicros is similar to that of mezoganet. I was looking through the online HP museum and read with much interest that SwissMicros was manufacturing "clones" of several classic/vintage HP calculators. I went to the SwissMicros website and reviewed what was posted there...

Re: psycho wallpaper

Hi Meino, I am pleased with the version of the program that I already have. It may not be worthwhile to put a bit of time into modifying the program so that it runs a little faster. I have now run the program with the following inputs. All of them run fine. GrMod=3, mod=2, fac=2000 GrMod=3, mod=4, f...

Re: Sunrise/Sunset

Jeff,

This is a quick note to let you know that I really like your program and use it regularly. I made the fix that you suggested, and have not had any issues with the program or with the sunrise and sunset times that it gives me.
