Re: Firmware-Update DM 11, DM 15

PR Error is normal. All the Voyager machines (except the DM41) Since it is not a Voyager in the first place... ;) True, technically speaking. However, the DM41L is in a "Voyager" format case and gets lumped in with the DM10L/11L/12L/15L/16L as a "Voyager" unit, particularly as its electronics are i...

PR Error is normal. All the Voyager machines (except the DM41) display this when the firmware is updated.

Re: Firmware-Update DM 11, DM 15

You sometimes have to press the RESET button more than once. What do you mean by "negative". Nobody can help you with that. All the Voyager units say "SERIAL CONSOLE" when you press the RESET button. It's part of the process. Ditto about the "not aligned to 32 bytes" if the length is not a multiple ...

Re: Feature requests

I'd like an option to use a space character as thousands separator. The DM42 runs the Free42 simulator, which (apart from a few extensions) is a faithful reproduction of the HP-42S, and the HP-42S doesn't offer the space as a thousands separator, only the comma, the dot or no separator at all. If y...

Re: A problem of Conditions

Hi there, The comparison function X<Y? and family do not compare variables, they compare values in the stack. So, once you have run this bit: 38 0 39 STO "i" you have the value of "i" (zero) in X. When you now do this: 40 RCL "Achar" that zero gets pushed up to Y in the stack and X now contains the ...

M-W seems to call it scale armor. Calculator armour would be useful to cover your 5318008.
Without it you might find yourself 55378008...

@Godwin - The DM42 Encoder/Decoder will need to be updated to allow processing of the new LSTO command. Is the proper byte code needed from Thomas, or how the heck do you know what to use?
Indeed, I need to set some time aside for this!

Re: DM15L USB connection touble?

The encoder/decoder is written entirely in JavaScript (I wrote it), there's nothing to hide. Just download the JavaScript files linked to in the HTML and you'll have the source code for the decoders for all of the DM11/12/15/16 machines.

Just for curiosity, how do you read 16-digit numbers without spaces??
I would use either a space or a comma to separate groups of 3 digits before the decimal but not after.
