Re: Post a high resoluition photo of a DM42?

Here's a low resolution photo: https://s3-eu-west-1.amazonaws.com/swissmicros/DM42/dm42_lores.jpg The high resolution version of this (4000x6000 pixels, taken with a DSLR) is here . Edit: I might re-take those when there's more ambient light so I can close down the aperture a bit and get a better de...

Re: UPDATE: DMCP-3.13 / DM42-3.13

Does it mean that all users, who had v3.12 have had troubles with FAT upgrade? No, it means that those who were having problems already with the "Update from FAT" feature, and only those, will continue to do so up to and including V3.12. Once they have installed V3.13 the "old fashioned" way, they ...

Re: UPDATE: DMCP-3.13 / DM42-3.13

Re: UPDATE: DMCP-3.13 / DM42-3.13

Correct. It's only up until Windows XP that Microsoft required vendor-specific drivers even for mass storage devices. From Vista onwards, Windows included generic USB storage drivers already rendering vendor-specific drivers unnecessary.

Re: Can you stop Save State saving programs also?

The idea is, once you've got your programs to a point where you're happy with them, you do a save state (not save progra...

Re: Standalone DM42 decoder/encoder

The encoder/decoder behind the page on the SwissMicros site is written in PHP and does actually work as a standalone utility (I wrote it).

I have a number of other commitments to get out of the way first but in due course I'm going to make a few needed updates and can release it then.

Re: Where do named variables go?

Nope, they're not mapped to registers, they're variables in their own right.

Actually, the registers are all combined to form a matrix that is stored in named variable REGS so it works the other way round :)
