Re: Is there any polling station here?

"Cowboy Neal" - is that a Grateful Dead reference? It's a Slashdot reference. :-) The Slashdot reference IS a Grateful Dead reference. Read the above posts. Huh. I obviously missed that tiny button telling me there's actually a page 2 to this thread. :? I blame my current lack of sleep. Sorry...

It all depends on whether there is a Cowboy Neal option or not.

Re: SwissMicros Logo

I'm glad you like it. :-)
I use a slightly modified version where I added my email and phone number at the bottom, so it may find its way back to me in case it gets lost.

SwissMicros Logo

Hi, here's my 1-bit, undithered, version of the SwissMicros logo. I think it looks rather good on the DM42's screen. swissmicros.png PS: Sorry I posted it directly in the forum, but I couldn't figure out how to embed an image hosted on NextCloud so that it is actually displayed here (rather than jus...

Re: [DM41L V26] Need to press ON twice to turn on

Oh well.
Now I can't reproduce the bug anymore. The DM41L always turns on on the first button press now - except this morning, when it needed 5 or so tries. So maybe it's just a bit of dirt inside the button, paired with a bit of coincidence.
Sorry for the confusion...

Re: [DM41L V26] Need to press ON twice to turn on

Just out of curiosity, I restored the unmodified memory dump I made before resetting, and the problem was back. Interestingly, just restoring the "cleaned" version did not fix it. Restoring the "cleaned" version after pressing the reset button did. It hasn't occured for several days now, so I think ...

Re: [DM41L V26] Need to press ON twice to turn on

Okay,
I saved a memory dump, removed everything except the programs (using http://dm41.swissmicros.com/) and restored it after a hard reset (using the reset button).
That seems to have fixed it. :-)

Re: Question about "what goes where" while flashing firmware

FWIW, I've been working with different microcontrollers for more than 10 years now, and I have never had one go bad on me because of flash wear, even with excessive reprogramming and/or EEPROM use.
Yes, it can happen, but I wouldn't worry too much about it.
