Re: DM42- clock losing time

... 8 seconds after 3 days for me, which extrapolates to about 8 minutes after 6 months. By the way, let's not forget about other (HP) hardware. E.g. the clock of my HP50g was adjusted last time 31st of March (switch to DST), and is now 91 seconds slow. That's (circa 6 minutes after 6 months) only ...

the worst case scenario for the reported clock issues should be around 6 minutes after 6 months.
Should... I could throw in the ring 38 minutes loss after 14 months.

Re: Marketing / Google ranking?

Maybe indeed a correct information, due to the fact a firmware update was announced March 15th?

Unfortunately, neither in the manual, nor (according to google) anywhere else is explained what hwid=[0|1] means. :(

Educated guess: hwid = Hardware ID. But how to detect, which hwid has a DM42, and what's the difference between 0 and 1?

There wouldn't have been any import duty on the calculator if you'd bought it direct from Swiss Micros. ... Michael deliberately puts a low value on the customs declaration specifically to avoid subjecting customers to the hassle and extra cost. That didn't help with German Customs - they collected...

Insofar the program emits it's own (page-) header.

No special need for a function since conversion deg <-> grad is done by multiplying with or dividing by 0.9?

I think you're still good do go. You can check this by ... If you get 0 then you have the correct firmware and it simply doesn't display the "a" (which I suspect is the case). If not then we have to think again! Thank you very much for the quick, and detailed reply! Since I've got 0.0000 as the res...

Re: Firmware V16a for legacy DM15 M80

A short question: After flashing, the info screen (E+On) still shows version 16 for my legacy 32k DM15 M80 (and not the anticipated 16a). Is this correct, or did I something wrong, and so I have still the previous version 16?

WP 34S vs. DM42 decimal128 differences?

(Crosspost from MoHPC HP Forums ): Today I stumbled about a footnote in Walter's WP 34S Owner's manual, where at Page 319 the result of the Calculator Forensics Test is mentioned. To my big surprise, the DP difference between the test result, and 9, is for WP 34S: -6.2465E-29 for DM42: -6.2466E-29 B...
