RCL "ORIGX"
STO ST L
R↓ (roll stack down)
To preserve the stack I would do:

X<> ST L
X<> "ORIGX"
X<> ST L
CLV "ORIGX"
Clever and elegantly simple Didier, thanks!

Re: Noob Questions

Btw, is there any update planned for the DM42 manual ? Once upon a time, many months ago, there was ... an update planned. ;) Here's an idea... Doing the update is relatively easy, if one has an exhaustive list of all the updates. Does it make sense to create a new sticky thread, "DM42 Manual Updat...

Re: 43S News

@Walter - for further clarity, could you please post the latest complete keyboard and sample LCD images together in one Post? It will make it easier to reference (e.g. via bookmark) in one place without scrolling back and forth through multiple pages of varying designs with much discussion in betwee...

Re: DM42 License Statement

Thanks for the update Michael. I, for one, appreciate your honesty and candor about how refactoring DM42 code for License compliance is a bigger job than initial estimates, and also want to support your stated goals of "accurate, truthful and fair licensing terms" even if this means it will take lon...

Re: DM15L degrees issue

When you set DEG, there should be no annunciator in the bottom of the LCD (vs. "RAD" vs. "GRAD" when those modes are set); is this correct on your machine? If so, please provide exact key sequences, such as: [f][FIX][9] [g][DEG] [4][5] [SIN] => 0.707106781 [4][5] [COS] => 0.707106781 Also, what vers...

Re: Stand alone Encoder/Decoder

Is there any reason why DM42 can't be persuaded to load programs in either .raw or .txt format? Surely there there is already an interpreter which converts the programs we type in on the keyboard to machine language? The programs are not converted to machine language, they are stored in an internal...

Re: [DM41] Question about CAT 1 and END

Sorry if this is a dopey question, but should END keep appearing on the CAT 1 list? Should it show LBL for each routine too? I assume it's normal, but it seems odd to me. Yes, it's normal to see the END of each global program space (which could contain multiple global labels). All global labels are...

Re: buttons that don't register well

Actually that's not quite true, Bob. See my earlier response to Thomas. That Beep Mute setting is directly mapped to flag 26. Try it. Check the checkbox on the settings page to mute the beeper. Then go back to the home screen and set flag 26. Finally, go back to the SETUP settings page and you'll s...

Re: buttons that don't register well

I believe there is also a sound enable/disable setting somewhere in the SETUP menu. That has to be enabled, AND flag 26 set, in order for sound to be produced. Good point. I was trying to clarify that F26 doesn't affect key noise, but you're right to point this out (I ignore it, since, well F26 doe...

Re: buttons that don't register well

Also reading about clicking noise. Somehow I can't enable sound with CF or SF 26. Tried fiddling with Quiet mode. But can't get sound. Flag 26 only controls if the BEEP sounds can be heard (SF 26) or not (CF 26); there are no key-click sounds. While not as descriptive as Meino's excellent descripti...
