Re: Battery life

Hi, not sure if still relevant, but I have the same issue. Put in a fresh battery (tried Panasonic and Varta) and it drains in about 3 to 4 weeks. Is this the expected lifetime of a battery, or is something wrong? Calculator usage is also limited to a few minutes per day max. A few is... how many? ...

Re: New File Updates (Late August '18)

And...after a new file of the same name is copied to replace the old one, a dangling handle is still memorized by the OS, which finally crashes the DM42? In my case, I connected to the USB drive (I'm using windows, but don't think that matters), deleted the old index.htm file, copied the new one to...

Re: Exit from Activate USB Disk

Even after I've run the update? I think it should check the version in the FAT and skip the Load Flash question if the FAT version is less than or equal to the installed version. That would ne a nice tweak in the future, but as it is, it's useful to lead noobs to load the file they've just copied t...

Re: Exit from Activate USB Disk

When I try to exit from the USB Disk, I press EXIT to exit the disk and then ENTER to confirm exit. Instead of getting back to the system menu, I get the "Load Flash From FAT" screen instead. This happens on both my beta unit and my shipping unit. The OS has "noticed" that there is a new .bin file ...

Re: UPDATE: DMCP-3.9a / DM42-3.9.1 / dm_tool-2.4

Is that third one the combination of 1 and 2? If so, we only need to copy #3 to the DM-42 drive, correct? Yes, that is a single image with both components. I think it's correct, but as I wasn't 100% sure, I loaded it the old-fashioned way with dm_tool_v2.4. It makes sense what you suggest is correc...

Re: UPDATE: DMCP-3.9a / DM42-3.9.1 / dm_tool-2.4

Just updated: 1. New DMCP and DM42 App, using combined image and dm_tool_v2.4. Fast, smooth, no issues, no loss of State, etc. One unexpected thing is the prior DM42 App (DM42-3.7.1.pgm) remains in the FAT area; after a moment's thought this does make sense (since it was there before the update) but...

Re: New images dated 180814

Thanks Godwin, I suspected that was the case, but I didn't want to find out the hard way that what I asked would not work. Will update today and report any issues. Looks like the screen shot posted earlier of the 41 Emulator running on a 48 (with variable sized stack digits) inspired the new font ch...

New images dated 180814

I see these new images were posted today (180814): 1. DMCP_flash_3.9.bin new version of DMCP OS, v3.9 (actually uploaded on 180808) 2. DM42-3.9.1.pgm New version of DM42 App 3. DMCP_flash_3.9a_DM42-3.9.1.bin From its size, appears to be items 1. and 2. in a combined image (though combined size is no...
