Re: % Character ?

In the classic 42 ALPHA mode, the "%", "Pi" and "E" special characters are entered by pressing the keys where those characters appear on the keyboard. The "E" mentioned here is not the letter E, it's the special character used to express Exponent, which is the key to the right of the [+/-] key.

Re: DM15L - difference between two dates?

So the next questions is of course ... should I splurge on a DM12L or keep using my Singapore made HP 12C until it dies? ;) The DM12L is much faster than older (3-battery or 1-battery) 12Cs, so if you use programs this may be a strong factor to consider. I'm not sure of the relative performance of ...

Re: Photo editing

FYI - Although fairly limited, Paint comes with all versions of Windows and works just fine. How do you get paint to do 1-bit and dithering? Paint does not support dithering (at least not with any control; when you paste something with higher res than the current settings, it sorta does some dither...

Re: Do you erase old post 3.5 flash files when yopu update?

When you flash after 3.5, do you erase from the cals USB drive the old files when you next update?..or does updating get rid of the files automatically??? When you update from flash, once the process is complete the .bin file is no longer stored on the flash drive. It appears it is erased once the ...

Re: SDKdemo

but that would require the WP43S key layout to retain the existing ON key location - food for thought Walter? Wasn't every key reassignable? Yes, it's technically possible to, but I was referring to retaining the same physical keys currently in use on the DM42 h/w, but my comment was not correct an...

Re: SDKdemo

Get a pre-built PGM binary: https://github.com/swissmicros/SDKdemo/blob/master/SDKdemo.pgm Thanks Michael. Installs and loads as expected, so now I have 2 calculators in my DM42 h/w and I can easily swap back and forth. For folks that are checking it out, remember to also copy the html help file (i...

Re: SDKdemo

DMCP 3.8 installed and DM42 3.7.1 loads and runs just fine. Once someone with the full dev. tools stack installed downloads and builds the demo app, could you please upload it here? It appears there is no demoapp.pgm file in the .zip. No doubt, building it was left as an exercise for the curious rea...

Re: SDKdemo

SDK demo project - simple scientific RPN calculator https://github.com/swissmicros/SDKdemo Thanks for the new toys Michael and David. It's so rare (and appreciated) to receive a non-trivial demo program, and this one even includes built-in help! :D And as for DMCP 3.8.... guess I need to look in th...

I just noticed that the DM42 User Manual has been updated to cover the 3.7 firmware :)
The changes seem to be all in the Firmware Update section.
Thanks Didier. Details on the contents of the forthcoming SDK too!

Thanks SwissMicros!
