Re: DM42 licensing thread from HPmuseum.org

Just for information, a copy of a post I have just left on the HP forum. Hi guis. I am a customer of SM and have got a DM42. I find very interesting the bunch of comments saying that on one side that SM shall release everything for the sake of the GPL and on another side that it is not a matter of m...

swiss clock....

I notice a little point regarding the DM42(V3.2) clock. When reaching 0:00 the day and month don't change. They change only at 0:01.
I'm not sure that it is the expected behavior, specially for a swiss clock.... :D

Re: Integration convergence

Hi Thomas. I have seen that behavior for acc=0.01 which is not exactly 0. What puzzles me is that modifying very very slightly the range of integration solves the problem. I haven't check the code for Free 42. Nevertheless, one straightforward solution would be to treat acc as an absolute valu...

Integration convergence

I noticed a strange behavior of the integration routine. If one integrates cos(x) from 0 to exactly Pi, the convergence of the algorithm is very slow. In fact I have had to stop the routine before end. If the same integral is computed from 0 to Pi-epsilon (say 10E-10) or from epsilon to Pi the conve...

Re: I failed in updating firmware V3.1

Just to say that I finally achieved the update (3.1) by the process described in this topic. Would be nice if SM could modify the software building the sector table for not being stuck at every failing block but rather to go on. ;) For information, my system is a Xubuntu 16.04 and the USB works dire...

Re: I failed in updating firmware V3.1

Same problem here.....I'm in the very tedious process of reformating the FAT disk (currently stuck at about 50%).
I'm suspecting that some chips have a Flash chip corrupted or at least that the sector table is corrupted
in some way.
A little bit disappointing....;-(
