Please compare ALL n of the WP34S and WP31S.
Yes, that's pretty much what I would like to have on the 42. The "n" portion could be handled via a virtual variable, so as to preserve mode menu and flag compatibility.

Re: Feature requests

Since we're on the topic of display modes, I'd love an option that makes the ALL display mode less aggressive about switching to scientific notation. Casio calculators, for example, usually have "Norm1" and "Norm2" display modes that behave differently in this regard. For instance, if I calculate 1/...

Does Swiss Micros sell any apparel?
You could always buy a bunch of calculators and make scale mail out of them.

Re: Spreadsheet App for DM42

Yes, Dave, I have quite a few spreadsheets loaded in my Casio fx-CG50. The spreadsheet app is not a full blown spreadsheet program. It lacks some functions that I use (like VLOOKUP), but on the whole, it is very useful. It does exactly what I first wrote about. That is, in column 1 I can list all o...

Re: Spreadsheet App for DM42

And here is another thought - I really love RPN, so if a spreadsheet isn't possible on this calculator, how about a dedicated input page that looks like a two column spreadsheet. The first column would hold the variable's name and the second column would hold its value. The top row keys of the DM42...

Re: DM15L programming

It doesn't strike me as a feature that would be super difficult to add. Simply modify the simulator's display routine to snoop on whatever flag/register/memory address is used internally by the calculator to indicate that it's in program mode (or that SST is being held), and use an alternative displ...

When's the new Palm OS build coming so I can update my Tungsten C? ;D

(Mostly joking. But obviously I would install it if it came out.)

Re: DM15L keyboard response?

I don't have a 15L, but I have a 16L and 41L, and the only way I can get them to miss keystrokes when typing fast is by slowing the CPU down to 12 MHz. It runs at 48 MHz by default, and I don't have any problems with responsiveness.

Re: How did you discover SwissMicros?

I think I heard about them on hpmuseum.org back when the original "credit card" models were being released. I didn't have any practical need for those ones, but thought they were cool. The eventual "L" models made a more compelling argument, and I bought a 41L and 16L a few years ago. Then I got the...
