Re: May 2022 Speculations

We have been preparing the release of the DM32 for a while now, and it was last scheduled for Q4 2022. Both the hardware and software are in good shape, but still need work. The STM32L4 CPU used in the DM42 is popular and used in many other projects worldwide. So, especially during the global chip ...

Re: May 2022 Speculations

Another example is base conversion (e.g., between HEX and DEC), which I think is far more convenient in 32SII. I love how they have reused the top row variable letters for hexadecimal digits. On the other hand, numbered registers don't exist in 32SII; one-letter variables are used instead. Program ...

Re: May 2021 Speculations

Maybe we could get the title of this thread changed to May 2022 Speculations. Yes, indeed. It's been a year — and we haven't been idling. Stay assured we do not neglect our user base. There have been hardships and setbacks, but a new machine is in the works and shows good progress. Enjoy the ...

Re: May 2021 Speculations

We don't need no stinking parentheses and equal sign. Whatever it might turn out to be, let it be 100% RPN only. And, BTW, I detest the lack of a native rectangular <> polar conversion and single letter labels. If it turns out to be a replica on the HP-35s, I will definitely NOT buy it. Yeah, it wo...

Re: May 2021 Speculations

It would be great. HP-32/33(?)/35s is among the best "simple" calculators there is. I would prefer portrait mode (as the originals) over landscape, so I can use muscle memory when using it. A 35s without the bugs and annoyances (such as all digits fit on the display when in ALL mode) would...

Re: [DM15L M1B V28] All trig is in radians when in complex mode.

A bit odd that the annunciator doesn't change then. I searched the handbook but didn't find any mention of it. You would expect a line about it when trig mode is discussed but couldn't find it searching for "degrees" or "grad". Which page?

[DM15L M1B V28] All trig is in radians when in complex mode.

Hi. I seldom use trig functions and when I do, it's often radians. But I just needed to do some trig in degrees, and my DM15L gave me result in radians no matter what I did (tried grads, then degrees again, toggled all three modes, etc). The annunciator works as expected and shows nothing in degrees...

Re: May 2021 Speculations

I've checked the main site a couple of times a week for the past year, hoping to see something like "DM35SL", but still nothing new... ;(

Can't we at least let to know what the *intended* release was, even if the project was halted?

Re: May 2021 Speculations

What do you mean by "standard" floating point mode? ALL? I've grown up with SCI, ENG, FIX and like them. Yes. It's sometimes called ALL in HP parlor. Too bad HP-35s doesn't display them right. They are more convenient for values near zero and gives better resolution when 3 segments aren't...

Re: May 2021 Speculations

Any updates on this? I'm still hoping that "entry level" means something similar to HP-32s/33s/35s. A 35s without the bugs and with some connectivity would be great. 32/35 (never owned a 33) is my daily go to-calulator and I like that it's simple and have a "standard" floating po...
